Now published. The Black Dogs is available in English as a paperback and on Kindle. The English front below is the cover of that edition. Spanish artwork is shown for comparison; it does not imply a separately published Spanish edition.

Bringing the pictures back into the light
The front was repaired from new photographs of the surviving cover. Where the left ornament was damaged, the intact right side helped recover the frame’s shape. Surviving artwork was kept, with local repairs and color adjustments. Those choices are interpretations, not proof of the exact colors when the booklet first appeared.
The back combines surviving artwork with local repairs. An earlier AI reconstruction remains in part of its damaged border; it is not an untouched historical print. The English edition carries the same repaired front with English lettering.
The six pictures inside the new book were reconstructed with AI tools from fresh photographs of the original illustrations. They follow the old scenes but may change individual strokes and details. They should not be mistaken for digitally cleaned original printing plates.
The back-cover cartoon bears the signature associated with Ramón Cilla. That attribution belongs to the cartoon; it does not identify the artist of the front cover or the interior pictures. The historical booklet is marked Series III, Tome 45; “Volume 23” is its place in our modern collection.
The photographs stay separate from the renewed pictures. This page offers cover comparisons, rather than a complete facsimile of every original leaf.
